The Ones Who Watch

Observations

I spend a lot of time with my mother, Amanda in Pennsylvania. When I go to her property, it seems to be a total environmental and social change. Unlike many other animals; cats have a deeper sense of their own existence and personality. Spending time around not only their own, but going out of their own way to try and develop trust and love between them and the humans around them. Being around a mother cat with her kittens was not just a slew of happy crying and cute screams; it brought deeper thinking to how humans and animals interact with each other. Just like us, they need to gain your trust, and you need to trust them.

My end goal of the human to feline interactions were not set when I made the trip out to my mother’s house; they were set the last day I was there. After bonding with the mother cat, she introduced me to her family; a 20 litter of Calico female kittens just waiting to be taken to a good home. Even though the environment that the mother’s kittens were in was positive and nurturing, she saw a trust and faith in me to care for one of her own.

We are all alike
Trust that is given is gold
Love those who trust you
